What will I be doing?

  • Supporting custom software for automated assembly systems with a primary focus on control system development, including microprocessor-based servo motion control, analog and digital sensors, network communications, and graphical user interfaces (GUIs)
  • Designing, procuring, fabricating, assembling, integrating, starting up, and commissioning large-scale automated systems
  • Serving as the key contact for customer design teams and maintaining this technical relationship throughout the customer development cycle
  • Taking part in customer support, including discussions with the software team
  • Working directly with the customer to troubleshoot and solve critical system problems
  • Ensuring high-quality products through internal testing and adherence to software quality standards
  • Providing technical direction and advice to customers and team players
  • Assisting in the analysis of product failures and coding corrections
  • Implementing software changes for system enhancements involving a variety of hardware upgrades
  • Working on commercial and government/defense related projects

 

What skills/experience do I need?

  • B.S. in Computer Science, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • 0-5 years of experience in C/C++ programming
  • Ability to program applications to run on Windows
  • Participation in projects that involve both software and hardware (e.g. robotics, automation, controls, etc.)
  • Familiarity with the full software lifecycle, including specification, design, implementation, integration, and debugging
  • Experience with any one of the following:
    • Linux and Siemens PLC or Allen Bradley environments
    • HMI development with WinCC OA from Siemens
    • Step 7 version 5.5 and Simotion Scout 4.3 or newer from Siemens
    • Logix5000 & Machine Edition from Allen Bradley
  • Ability to travel nationally (50-60%)

Salary: 65 – 95k + Overtime (equals 10 – 20k) + 401k Match
